01The short version
- We never store the text of your prompts or the model's replies.
- We keep request metadata (time, model, tokens, cost, speed) to bill you and to run the service.
- Stripe handles payments. We never see your card number.
- No cookies for tracking, no ads, and we do not sell or share data for marketing.
02Payments
When you buy credits, Stripe collects your card details, the email for your receipt and your billing country and postal code. We never see or store card numbers. In Stripe we keep your customer record: the credit balance, a hash of your API key and its last four characters, and, if your browser recorded it, the website that first sent you to us and the page you landed on.
03Using the API
Your prompts and the model's replies pass through our router to the provider that serves the model, and are not written to our storage. For every request we record: the time, a request id, your customer id, the app that sent it (from its X-Title, Referer or User-Agent header), the model requested and the model that answered, the provider, whether it succeeded, token counts, cost and timing. We use this to bill you, to investigate problems and abuse, and to publish aggregate speed figures per model, which contain no customer data.
The provider that serves a request receives its content and handles it under its own policy. Each provider's logging and retention terms are on the providers page.
04The website
We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views, referring sites, countries and device types without cookies and without identifying you. Your browser's local storage keeps a few things on your own device: the site that first referred you (sent with a purchase so we know which channels work), chat drafts, and your API key if you choose to save it in the chat playground. Clearing your browser data removes them.
To see which pages lead to purchases, local storage also holds a random visitor ID. It is sent with a few events (a visit, clicks on Get an API key, Try now and Download for Mac, copying the agent guide, starting a checkout) and with a purchase, together with the page path, the site that referred you and your country. It is not a cookie, is not linked to your name, email or prompts, and is never shared. The Mac app keeps a similar random install ID and reports when it is installed and opened, when a key is added and when an agent task starts, never what you ask it.
05Feedback and email
Feedback sent through the feedback API or MCP tool is emailed to us with the country and app it came from, and the contact details you choose to include. If you email support, we keep that conversation in our inbox.
06Who processes data for us
- Stripe: payments and the customer record.
- Vercel: hosting of this website and its analytics.
- Fly.io: hosting of the API router and its request log, in the United States.
- Resend and ImprovMX: delivering email to us.
- Model providers: serving the requests you send, under their own policies.
Our hosts also keep short lived server logs, including IP addresses, for operations and security.
07How long we keep it
Request metadata is kept for up to two years and then deleted. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Feedback and support email are kept until they are no longer needed.
08Your choices
Email support@openuncensored.com with your key's last four characters or your Stripe receipt to get a copy of what we hold about you, or to have it deleted. We delete everything the law does not require us to keep. The service is not meant for anyone under 18.
09Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes apply to data collected after they are published.
